Meanjin's own producer + DJ extraordinaire Sampology AKA Sam Poggioli returns with this must-have LP! A culmination of the ideas previously heard on his last two EPs 'Natural Selections' & 'Mt Glorious', Sampo almost entirely pivoted away from a heavy sampled-based production into a largely live affair - with string quartets, woodwinds, 20-piece choirs, vibraphones, double bass, various pianos and synths... Like lots of Sampo's work, it's joyful, bouncy, textural and gorgeous front-to-back listening. Recorded from scratch in either his home studio or on his travels over the past four years, 'Regrowth' is the perfect album to sink into, thanks to its rich and colourful production. HUGE TIP!

Incredible comp for those into Al Green and Marvin Gaye! Gathered for the first time is the entirety of Tommy McGee's solo career (sole album + singles) & his nascent mid-‘60s funk crew the 'T.M.G.’s'.
Breezy, electro, dubby, balaeric beats and bumps from Germany's Fizzy Veins. Vocally similar to King Krule meets Flight of The Concords (weird but accurate), it's equal parts groggy and warm in the most low-key way possible. A totally surprising gem of a record! Lovely stuff.
40th-anniversary reissue of Tribal Earth's 1983 recording “Interaction/Reaction''! Featuring a fusion of post-punk, DIY mutant wave and minimal synth-pop, backed with infectious funk and dub elements and Linn Drum machine rhythms. 3 timeless art-pop gems! Very limited Pressing...
Great debut on Favourite Recordings from a teriffic emerging soul musician from France - Al Sunny. Like the name suggests, this is all sunshine sounds with a foundation in pop, rock, and electronic music. Holds a nice cover of Ned Doheny's blue eyed soul classic Give It Up For Love.
KOKOKO!'s debut lands on the independent label Transgressive (Flume, SOPHIE) and is a distorted, polyrhythmic and spontaneously chaotic soundtrack to their home country. In this debut their sounds are the antithesis of tradition - it's a torrid, anarchic, youthful journey smashing a new path through modern life in Africa’s third most populous city.
Uptempo disco heats! Euphoric string-laden disco from Silvetti on the A side and a heavy stomper from Candido on the flip with the iconic tune Jingo getting a light remix - tip!!
