German painter and musician Günther Beckers's 1982 album (a companion to his then-painted works) is given a second life from reissue kings, Music From Memory. Using a technique called Kunstkopf, two microphones are mounted in mannequin ears to create a highly immersive 3D audio experience designed for headphone listening, hence the title. With only 500 copies printed originally, Günter's beautiful minimalist variations circle around an acoustic guitar, synth, rhythm box and wordless, haunting vocals.
