2022Hand-painted acrylic screen print on wooden panel40 x 30cmThom Stuart is a Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Country (Caloundra) based Artist, and his work references a mix of botanical motifs, found marks and surface textures in both natural and artificial colour scapes, to create a language that reflects the contemporary Australian landscape.Thom uses a mix of traditional and urban painting approaches and print-making and drawing techniques to create meaningful work with an inherent underlying visual beauty. His large-scale murals extend and abstract visuals are uncovered in his studio practice. The references to the semi-abstract scapes of natural and built environments often echo the surrounding spaces, creating a dialogue between project and place.

Pippa's work addresses the idea of shifting materiality, and the presence of the 'formless' within space. She often applies the concept of 'fluidity' to her work - capturing gesture within static mediums - and is deeply compelled by edges and how they can pull on the body's sensual gauge of sight, surface and form.

20224 x 3 x 2cmStoneware & GlazePeta Berghofer is a Giabal and Jarowair (Toowoomba) based Artist working with clay as her medium and the vessel as her form. Her work references historically familiar form and function, but she disrupts these expectations of traditional vessel-based, ceramic art practices. Peta’s self-referential ceramics are most often presented as the same body of work, exhibited as abstracted still-life installations. Here, she plays with distinctions between the gallery and domestic spaces, engaging with historic and contemporary tensions between art, craft, and design.

Jeremy Plint is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based painter, ceramicist and art therapist. His visual practice examines the limited constructs of identity and the human form in reflection of personal narratives and environmental symbiosis. His current explorations in ceramics propose a new relationship between material, surface and the body through the ritualism of physical actions; the trace/record of which is found in the surface of his objects.
